- You can get insurance up to six months prior to travelling in order to get a potentially better rate
- Get your annual checkup at least six months prior to your travel dates to meet longer stability periods if there are any medical changes.
- Call our office to book an appointment one week or more in advance of your trip to ensure we have enough time to get your coverage in place

- Know your medical history to be able to answer insurance medical questions accurately. You can sign up for MyAlberta Digital ID to have access to the last 24 months of medical records
- In the event of a claim, call the travel insurance company prior to seeking medical attention, or when stable. You can always have someone call on your behalf
